When the door clicked shut, Adrian paused and searched Mateo’s face. “Still good?” he asked. Mateo smiled, nerves and excitement bright in his eyes. “Yes. Just take your time.” They had talked about everything beforehand: boundaries, comfort, and the freedom to stop at any moment. Now, with the city glowing beyond the window, that trust felt more intimate than any kiss. Adrian brushed his thumb over Mateo’s hand. Their laughter softened the tension; their kisses slowly replaced it. When Mateo admitted he was a little overwhelmed by Adrian’s impressive size, Adrian didn’t tease him. He listened, checked in, and let Mateo set the pace. “Tell me what feels right,” Adrian whispered. So Mateo did. They moved gently, taking breaks to breathe, kiss, and make sure they were both comfortable. There was no performance to give, no finish line to chase—only the warmth of being wanted and the safety of being heard. Later, tangled beneath the sheets, Mateo rested his head against Adrian’s shoulder. “I’m glad we waited until we could talk,” he murmured. “Me too,” Adrian said, kissing his hair. Outside, the city carried on. Inside, the night belonged to them: tender, unhurried, and shaped by every yes they chose together.
